    Hello,

Well I'm scratching my head with this one guys. I've read though and diagnosed a bunch of issues and corrected everything I can based of past forum posts.

I took the ski out yesterday, warmed it up for 5 mins at 8 km per hour.
Got it to 80km was running just fine, i made a point of not going over 80km for a bit
Got it to 102km still running fine
Then no more, about 15 - 20 mins of riding the ski wont go above 4500 - 5000 rpm
It has boost, just the revs wont go up.
I't feels like it wants to go and would sometimes lurch forward then it would back off

I don't think the issue is mechanical as the ski runs fine, could this be electrical? coil pack or leads? Could it be fuel pump?

List of things I've done so far
    New SC Belt
    SC Tension Lubed
    New exhaust filter (New gaskets)
    Exhaust header (New gasket)
All hoses done up and rode with the seat off. All looked good
    New plugs

I'm thinking of taking it to a mechanic with a tank as its got me stumped. I'm happy to keep testing although I feel like I'm going round in circles.

The issue wont happen during a flush only after it's warmed up and under load.

Can anyone recommend a service center in Melbourne VIC?

    MS

Have you eliminated any possibility of blockage after the exhaust filter? The oil in air intake is a symptom of this root cause. I experienced this.

Make sure old filter element is all out and didn't damage the baffle in a way that would block exhaust flow. I bought a cheap bore scope off Amazon that hooked up to my cell phone for this inspection.

    Hope this helps!

OK, the only thing I haven't done is check the inter cooler. It took me 10 minutes to get it out and look what I found. I should have done this like 3 weeks ago..... go figure and I'm absolutely kicking myself.

This took 4 goes at cleaning out with fuel before it started coming out clean!

I had a bunch of fluid also leading though into the throttle body, I'm hoping this is the cause of my performance issue....

    Thatís a lot of sludge
Do you know where it came from ?
Just cleaning it might not be enough

I'm guessing the IC had never been cleaned in the 86 hours my ski has run for and that cleaning it should be part of routine maintenance.... I've always had it serviced in a shop, no more as I'll be doing it all myself and at least I know I'll be looking over everything the way it should be.

That liquid was the fuel that came out after I had swooshed it around a bit.

You water test it after cleaning the intercooler?
I only lost a few hundred rpm when my intercooler looked like that ski still ran normal

Going to test it this weekend and I'm hoping that's it. When I took the IC out and tipped it sludge was flowing freely. So not only were the fins / mesh blocked there was also a bunch of fluid in it.

Next on my to do list will be the fuel lines and removal / inspection of the pump.

If your getting oil like that in the intake then you must be getting serious blowby I would try removing the pipe from the top of the catch can where it goes to the air intake take it out from the intake and drop it into a clear bottle and do a couple of speed runs see if your getting much oil in the bottle.
