Yup. The different rideplate mods made a big difference in handling today. The extra plate I had and tried, which ran that 79.5 was better than the 19 oem plate, but not as good as the 19 oem modified ones we tested today. Like I said before, the ski is new and will take some time just like the GP1800 when it came out.

Just trying to help out and provide the results from our testing. I love doing back to back testing. I always find it interesting to see the differences.

I'm not sure when he's going to release the cuts since he's still testing.

Is it me but did someone state that the 19 fx handles poorly and is very loose in the rear. Then I dont seem to find those post but instead find how well the new fx handles and to get them as soon as you can before there gone.

I don't know about limited supply or get them before they are all 'gone'. Yamaha knows they have a winner. How many they manufacture and deliver compared to demand, well, that is up to Yamaha.

The 2017 and 2018 GP1800 have a fairly flat ride plate, which I and others found to feel 'loose' when turning hard. It was not dangerous and for many riders might be 'fine'. For myself I added a Jim's cut to improve hull tracking and turning feel.

In my case it was with a Worx aftermarket ride plate, but the same modification to the factory GP1800 ride plate seems to produce similar positive results.

The 2019 GP1800R factory ride plate comes with a ride plate profile that is somewhat similar to Jim's cut, and also seems to be a good result.

Some posts on here recently mentioned testing/tuning being done regarding the 2019 FX ride plate modification. I expect when that modification becomes available for the 2019 FX stock ride plate it will be well received.

Was asking about the 2019 fx not the gp1800

The 2019 FX hull is derived from the GP1800 hull, and improved upon. The GP1800 gets better with aftermarket/modified ride plate.

Per my last paragraph, I expect the 2019 FX hull to also respond positively to modified ride plate.

I have not yet ridden the 2019 FX so I cannot comment directly on handling with factory ride plate, but if it is similar to GP1800 it will be 'fine' at stock and slightly faster speeds.

Riders looking for excellence with the 2019 FX handling will likely find answers in modified stock and potentially aftermarket ride plates, when they become available.

Some people have mentioned poor handle of the FX, lots of others say it handles very nice and similar to the GP. I had the GP and that thing corners hard and stable. Like on rails. I should be getting my FX in 2 weeks so will see, but the positive comments are way more than the negative.
