Here is a side by side of the Riva and stock 18 plate that I had on my phone. I’m still going to do a side by side of the 19 and Riva plate.

Same here very happy with the plate. Had some issues turning at speed with passengers that went away once I installed the plate.

I found a “ stuffer “ kit that works the 19 1800r intake grate. It’s r&d 162-00022. The kit is for 17-18 GP1800 stock intake grate. There are some of these kits left on eBay.

    Thanks for the tip.

I have now ordered a couple of those R&D kits. I intend to notch the rear rubber blocks across the bottom to accommodate the rubber fingers on the Yamaha OEM sealing strip that fits between the ride plate front edge and the intake grate rear.

The ride and handling of the stock 2017-2018 plate completely sucks conpared to the riva and the new 2019 plate

I was tossing around the same idea of notching the blocks on the r&d kit. I think it would make a better seal between the intake grate and ride plate versus cutting the finger off the oem ride plate seal.
