19' ride plate on a VX HO was good for 1MPH when fuel gauge was beeping. Rides like it is on a rail, very much like the Riva Plate.

Upgrade your GP1800 with the new 2019 GP1800R ride plate and intake grate

    Living Slow.

Yep thatís exactly how mine looks. Yours might even be a little more than mine. Thanks for the pic. Iím going to drop it in and see how bad of a seal job the amateur mechanic (me) did with the Right Stuff

I'm not so sure you did anything incorrectly.

Does anyone know if you should try and close this gap a little more?

You can put washers or shims on front bolts to bring the front of ride plate down further. The added angle will probably add some top end as well.

Iíll see where my speed is at before. I was running ~67 prior so it it was already like that Iím not going to shim. Plus I used some right stuff and sealed the bolt holes good..... sooooo I donít feel like undoing that haha

Just put a 19 plate on my VXR. It looks exactly the same. I even removed it, double checked the seal and made sure the plate was lined up properly. Same gap.

Ever here of flex seal? Stand your grate straight up and make it as level as possible, pour the flex seal in until itís level , let stand for twelve hours , and there you go for a quarter of the price.

Go ahead and stab a nail or something into that after a day. Itíll still be very liquid. Itís been discussed before and people have found it to be liquid even after weeks of curing. Itís just too deep of a pocket.

You could possibly do it in layers but thatíd still take days.
