2018 310 bad pistons!! Not this again!!!!!

wifeys ski is has been in the shop now for a month. Oil in the air box and smoking. They haven’t even touched it yet. She called Kawasaki and basically they said there’s nothing they can do for her. This is the second time for her ski (93 octane fuel and limited) and mine was In for the same thing for 4 months last summer. One is a 16’and one 17’.
I’m Done with this crap. Kawi can shove it. Told wifey I’m buying a different ski and when hers gets out we will get rid of it.
I have to keep an 07 seadoo so we have something to ride because one of these will spend much of the summer in the shop.
Pathetic.

Did they use 300 pistons on your wife's first rebuild?

You have 2 of these skis, 1 which has had this problem twice, you should call an attorney about the Magnusson-moss act. Sounds like you would have a good case.

tried to find that out, but all Oem piston part numbers are the same from 15-19. You would think that in 16’ when Kawasaki became aware of the issue, all pistons ordered would revert back to the updated pistons, but who knows?
I called the shop that rebuilt mine and they said the updated pistons were used, then sent me a copy of all the parts. Well the part# for the pistons they used was the same as the original oem pistons. Same as the parts list for wifeys, they’re all the same# 13001-0787.

We put 300 wossner forged piston on our 310 and never have issues

Pretty sure I will get rid of them and go with one of the other brands.
