    200 hour service valve adjustment

I've reached that point and just wanted to find out others experience. Anyone had the 200 hr service with valve adjustments done. Did the valves need adjustment and how much also what did you dealer charge for this service .. Thanks all

Itís wintertime in the northern zones, and you posted on a Friday afternoon.

I am sure some people have at least 200 hours on their SVHO. And a few will have done the valve clearance check. And some will have done the adjustment.

The procedures are described in the service manual, available from the online GH store.

I don't bother at 200 hrs .......the tolerance is quite large & they hardly ever go out of spec. At higher hours it would be worth doing. As long as you are doing regular oil changes it shouldn't be a problem.

I enquired about my SHO and was told very rare under 500 hours so I’ll not bother (196 at the moment) unless it needs other work doing in spring as it’s a pain to get dealers

Thanks guys and that was my thought is it really needed at 200 hrs but my concern is how will it affect warranty if it is not done at the scheduled 200 hrs

You should at least get the clearances checked
Itís rare for them to be out of spec
But better to find out before itís to late
