Front Storage Compartment Divider Always Loose

I have an 2018 GTR 230 and those two plastic divider pieces that separate the battery and engine from the storage compartment are always coming undone.

I'm not sure what other models and years have them, but has anyone come up with a better way to secure this terribly designed divider? I thought some screws might help, but I really don't want to do that. I usually only have a cap and a rope in the compartment, so I don't see it as an issue of items bouncing around and causing it to come loose.

Some PWC models have a removable compartment/container. A solution that might work is to have some sort of container like that up there.

    What works for you?

Mine never came loose and were actually hard to remove. I simply took my out so that I could see the fuel tank level when fueling.

Not sure if they're the same design, but on my GTI, the divider is two pieces that have plastic rivets that secure them on the bottom. Then, there's a rubber piece that keeps the top secure.

If you have the same design, are the rivets in place?

Maybe I am missing the rivits and they go into those two lower holes.

That's it. You need part number 293150089, Tuflock plastic rivet.

They are 2 piece rivets. First part is basically hollow and inserts into the bottom hole on the divider. The 2nd part is inserted into the first to hold it in place.

I think at one time I saw at least one of these loose in the hull and I thought it was scrap left over from manufacturing. Duhh.

Thanks for saving the day for under a dollar.

They're super cheap and need to remove the covers for service and so on. Dealer should toss you a hand full just to have around.
