Titanium retainers on a GP 1800

What do shops typical charge to install Riva titanium retainers on a 18 GP 1800?

Its actually quite easy to do yourself, all you need are a few special tools you can borrow or get off of ebay and a buddy to lend a hand or two

Depends on location. 450 500ish labor then retainer price.

Intake manifold off, intercooler out, mark timing, cams out, swap retainers, put back together, set timing just a quick little run down skipping small steps and that's with everyrhing just going smoothly. It's a solid 3 4 hours

It is not a 4 hour job. I have done numerous installs with various other components. You would be hard pressed to do it in 8 hours taking your time.

Let's just say 5 mins pump off, 5mins remove intercooler 5mins remove intake manifold, 5mins marking timing, 5mins removing cams,5 mins swapping retainers, 5 mins put intercooler in, 5mins put intake manifold back, 5mins set timing, 5mins putting cams back and torqued down, 5 mins pump.

That's basically an hour of time right there. Some take longer some quicker some. Have issues others don't 3-4 hours isn't unreasonable imo.

Have you personally done it in 3 to 4 hours? Take a video and put it on youtube. lol

I call bullshit. I do all my work myself and have pulled engines out of SVHO's so I know what it really takes to do it and not tear anything up.
