2007 Kawasaki Ultra - Brass nut under ski for steering impossible to remove

I am installing a new steering cable for the ski.

I'm at the part where I need to undo the large brass nut beside the pump. It won't
budge, and seems to be spinning the collar its attached to.

I have tried holding the collar with locking pliers, but to no avail. Also soaked it in Wd40/CRC

Anyone got any great ideas for me?

A flare nut crowsfoot socket would be your best choice. If the ferrule is turning, you may have to get a helper to hold it from the inside.

cut it with a die grinder. if not available notch it with a big of hacksaw blade then break it, you're replacing the cable so who care?

Take the 10 mins and pull the pump off, cut the end of the rod off and use a deep socket and a pair of angled vice grips... done
