    310R service price Shock

    Hey guys,
    Names Dave New to Forums.
Just a quick question regarding costs of service on my 310R.
Im based in Aust. Just done 50 service & got a rude shock for oil change Exhaust filter Replacement plus a new Supercharger Belt cost Over a Grand.
Is this Normal. From my Research its not that hard to exhaust filter maybe Charger belt yeah.
Think I will do oil changes & exhaust filter replacements myself in the future. Guessing most guys here would do there own services?
    Dave

your more or less looking at a grand or so AUS if your paying a dealer to do it. 600 in parts / materials and another 400 in labor for say 3.5 hours of labor at 125 an hour. If your mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. if not be prepared to pay for it.

The belt can be done in an under an hour. should have had them put a spare belt in and tucked it up out of the way so you don't need to go through the whole process again to replace it.

the exhaust filter should be 3 bolts and 1-2 hose clamps to replace it.

You should not have had to replace a supercharger belt at 50 hours not even close. Same way with exhaust filter.
Buy yourself a factory service manual and do the work yourself it's not that difficult basic stuff.

when you replace the belt put a second one in and zip tie it up out of the way. this way if it breaks you dont have to unbolt the exhaust and motor mounts and slight the engine forward again to snake the belt through the coupler. a quick search on the site should provide you with some DIY threads on the topic.

When you need a new belt dont waist your time spending money at your dealer....go to your local auto parts store and you can buy a Heavy Duty Gates belt for 17.00 that is slightly thicker with a one year warranty!
