    Spark working hours

    Hi!
I am new at this forum and I want to buy my first pwc. I am looking at some used Sparks (90hp with IBR) and want to know how many hours does the engine last? if it has been serviced regularly. Or if you just tell me how many hours do you have on your Sparks.

    Thanks

    First of all, welcome!

Here are some pretty good articles that may help you even more than just your questions, alone:

Best o’ Success! “How long” an engine lasts depends much on “How Well” and “How Regularly” service Maintenance was performed; tough thing is knowing the answer to those questions when the ski was never under your control ... at the very least you will want to do a compression check on all the cylinders and, if you are not aware how to do that you may want to either consider buying from a dealer (or someone who offers some kind of warranty) OR finding someone in your area that can do a really good inspection of the craft and engine BEFORE you make ANY form of financial commitment!

I have the two listed in my signature and both have 140 hours and the dealer always says what amazing condition they are in.

Mechanically they havent skipped a beat however I have had a couple of fuel sensors replaced under warranty (they are cheap anyway).

68 hrs on mine. Handle bars cracked at 15hrs, pump bearing blew at 25 hrs. Crank had to be replaced at 50hrs....It’s the biggest piece of absolute shit I have ever purchased. Dumping it for a 230GTR this winter.

Just stay away from 2014-15-16 years. mid 2016 they fixed the crank issue .

I wish I could get SD to replace my crank with rusty snout. If I could I would keep it -Soo funn...
Think I will throw my spare motor(another 2014 no rust) in it and sell it off.
Kinda would like to try some super hot balls to the wall tune, and see how it does-since the motor thats in it is still running with rusty crank, but i could care less if it blows the motor(its worthless with its 2014 crank..
