    How to secure anchor on performace ski?

    After only a few rides my new 8lb mushroom anchor broke fire extinguisher, so something needs to be done to tame that beast. Are there ways to secure it without drilling through hull?

    Not sure about the best way to secure the beast you have now. But possibly looking to purchasing a Cooper Anchor for your jetski. They don’t weight much and there pretty amazing for the size/weight. I also have a Aluminum Shark PWC Anchor as well. Good luck

    Thank you for suggestion, 4-keeps! I will look into that. Also found another thread where K447 suggest to use velcro tape. I will see if I can hook anchor up to the fire extinguisher using two double-sided velcro tapes.

    That velcro is a great idea. I use a padded case and my anchor is the claw stil and about 5 or 6 lbs. its a step up from the lighter one that you find at west marine. The added tie down is a good idea. I dont have any issue since its in this padded zip bag and the anchor is heavy. I really like the bag though just because the metal anchor isn't galging the hull or anything around it.

    I have a sand shark anchor, it's light, filds up to 18",and has a protective pouch. Besides storing conviently along the side of my ski, it's hands down the best anchor system I have ever used..and has a lifetime warranty. Held my ski along with my buddies 20 foot boat with ease

    I just use a screw-in dog anchor, available at Wal-Mart. Doesn't work if you have rock, but does fine in sand.

    The nylon Cooper Anchor for PWC is definitely the way to go;

    https://cooperanchors.com/

    Even better with a Mini Anchor Buddy stretchable anchor line;

    I've had anchors like this drift on me, especially in areas by the beach or bay where waves come in and out with the tide. The screw in ones are bulletproof in these applications
