    GoPro/Action Cam Video Overlay Guide

I've written a guide on how I've made some YouTube videos using an older GoPro (in my case a Hero 3 Silver). Other GoPros and other cameras should work too. Through some trial and error I've been able to create videos using free Garmin Virb Edit software complete with speed and other data overlays. I figured I'd share the process I use to hopefully help others and to get suggestions on what I can improve. The data for the overlay is usually recorded with a fitness device (bike computer, GPS fitness watch, possibly a phone, etc.). Garmin Virb Edit allows you to create custom video overlays that can include things such as speed, a map, total distance, temperature, direction, etc.

The guide is in a shareable document on Google Docs. Feel free to suggest edits.

I always wondered how to do those overlays. Cheers, Vcbb10. A bit out of my league skill-wise atm. But I hope I'm going to work up to stuff like that soon.
