    rxt 215 cyl 1 plug

    Started up my rxt after fresh rebuild. Idles decent, can hear it mis firing. All cylinders have spark. Cyl 1 keeps fouling plug black carbon.

    Has 42 lb injectors i had bought second hand. Disconnect each coil 1 by 1 while idling. Cyl 1 disconnect - engine dies. Disconnect 2-3 and no changes in idle, althought those 2 have perfect looking plugs.

    I have other coils on a good running ski i will try and swap.

    Checked oil level. I used XPS oil 1gallon jug 3.7L on fresh engine. Reads low on dipstick. Could engine be in limp mode? I have another shipment of oil arriving tomorrow afternoon.

    If you swap the coil on each of the cylinders does it do the same on that #1 cyl?

    42s that are knock offs will do that. Also had a set blow my intake I’m half cause they leaked while the engine was off.. post a pic of them

    Yes im pretty sure...I dont remember if i put same coil back in cyl 1 when i used new plug. Tomorrow ill be swapping injectors, coils and grabbing a bunch of new plugs.

    Phone is upstairs charging ATM. There genuine bosch injectors. All part numbers and bosch logo is stamped on them.

    pull the rail and charge the fuel pump a few times, i'd bet #1 dribbles, or it's obstructed and the spray pattern is bad.

    Checked them, they all spray the same.

    What does your compression look like for all 3 cylinders?
    Who did the rebuild? What was done as part of the rebuild?
    Did you try a new spark plug? Sometimes one is just defective.

    Compression check is later today, need to grab my gauge from the shop.

    I rebuilt the motor. All new bearings, pistons, timing chain, all ARP hardware. Head was sent to machine shop to be decked, valves cut, new valves installed, and supertech springs / retainers. X Charger, 42lb injectors, 4" kanoflex, Fizzle, Riva waterbox. Still stock ECU at the moment untill maptunerx comes.

    E: I had the old spark plugs too, so i swapped 1 into cylinder 1 untill autoparts store opens this AM. Ran, misfired, removed plug and that one was dry carbon coated too.
