PWC Research - Yamaha Riders Chat
Hey All,
I'm conducting some research to better understand water sports, and I’d like to ask specifically Yamaha Riders a few questions to get your point of view on the pastime and other the major water sports brands out there.
You can essentially vary in every aspect (age, where you're from, how long you've been riding etc.), but if you are interested in setting up a call for 45 minutes for me to take you through some questions that would be great.
Feel free to private message me with a bit of a description about your association with the brand to my profile and I'd be happy to set something up if possible.
Thanks,
Lucas

May I ask that you provide some additional info on yourself and the organization that is collecting this data?
Who, what, why, and so on.

You're certainly in the right place if you're looking for ardent enthusiasts to share their opinions on PWC design.
However, I agree that it would be helpful if you disclosed more about who you represent or who you are collecting data for. I have no problem if it's being conducted exclusively by a surveying firm conducting third-party research for a manufacturer, as most of us would like to help shape the future of our sport. At the same time, I just want to ensure there's some legitimacy in whom I'm speaking with.
If I can validate who you are and who you work for, and it's a credible source, I am more than happy to participate!

I would as well. Just don't want a hit piece written about our hobby and sport. You know how fake news and media is nowadays!

For what it's worth, they PM'd me, gave me credentials, and I was able to cross-reference everything.
I'm not sure if they are looking to publicly announce the information they are collecting and for whom, but I can attest they were legitimate, and the association with the brand they are working for is official and verifiable.
I ended up having the conversation. Didn't disclose any personal information or anything - not even last name, location, etc. It was fun to wax PWC talk with folks looking to collect info for a manufacturer. I'm not sure if my opinions would ever be implemented, but at least they were heard.
I was very skeptical at first as well, especially when I got a PM in lieu of a public response, but I'd surmise there is a reason behind that.

Interesting they are targeting a particular brand owner.....
however if they are seriously collecting data data for a “manufacturer” and this is how they find their candidates........ wowzers.....
