2009 FZS mods, should I install a BOV.

    Hey Guys
Ordered Dynafly 13/22r prop, ribbon delete, Worx Grate & ppk from Greenhulk performance store. Already have the R&D power plenum filter (not installed), TJs free flow and Island Racing Modded R&D ride plate. Should I be considering a BOV to release pressure off the stock clutch?

Considering the Maptuner as my next mod.

    John

I would. I put one on our SHO at 11hrs with bolt on mods including a ET low boost wheel. I'm now at about 220 hrs and still on the stock SHO clutch. Obviously my driving style isn't too hard on the clutch, but I credit the BOV for taking a lot of stress off the clutch.

BOV costs similar to clutch.... I have similar mods but no tune, now over 190 hours still on stock clutch.......some of them seem to last 2008 SHO

i ride exclusively off shore and often choppy, rarely sustained WOT.....

Depending on how far you want to go mods wise go straight for a fizzle with BOV built in

I would install blow off valve without any question you can get a Mac boost blow off valve pretty inexpensive online here especially if you go with a tune which will give you more boost and you'll have a more of a need to discharge the Boost

Ok, will look into it. What about the extra cooling at this point?

I would highly recommend upgrading your stock intercooler with integrated BOV. Huge huge difference in performance when you do this. Both RIVA and Fizzle offer intercooler kits that come with BOV's. You can get a Fizzle intercooler with HKS copy BOV for only $799
