    Ultra 150 carb rebuild

    How difficult is a rebuild and is it just swaping out for new parts or do you have to make adjustments? Thanks!

    Not difficult, and no real adjustments. The main problem I've found with these carbs is dirt and rotten O-rings. Clean the fuel rails and replace the O-rings on them. The O-rings under the needle valve seats are the same. Inspect the diaphragms for damage and check all orifices for dirt. There is a gasket on the diaphragm that is difficult to remove without damaging the diaphragm, so I left it alone on mine. The diaphragm was stuck to the cover plate, and I gently blow into it to make sure it held pressure without leaking. I'd pull the caps off the pilot screws, if it has any, and clean that as well. Check pop-off pressure, should be about 15 PSI. Check the oil inlet pop-off pressure, should be about 4 PSI. I've found oil inlets leaking, you may be able to clean then so they work better. Be careful not to break any hose fittings.

    So maybe just a clean out and new o rings? Do you have a source for them and what size? Thanks!

    This thread doesn't give the part numbers. I'll have to get that for you tonight. I've run them in my STXs and my Ultra 150. I have less than 40 hours of use total, but they seem to work OK. No leaks so far.

    The O-rings I used are from Marco Rubber Company. They are Viton, V1000-1.4x6 (1.4mm x 6mm).
