    Deka ETX-16 vs ETX-16L

I didnít want to hijack or sidetrack the other battery related discussion currently going on (Ok to Leave Battery In, During Storage? http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=275252) so, hereís my question:

Besides the $3 or $4 difference in price, is there any meaningful difference between a Deka 16-ETX and a Deka ETX 16-ETX-L

I notice this one DOES NOT HAVE A VENT TUBE:

    Deka 16-ETX:

And the Descripion of this one leaves me wondering if it does have aventbtube?

The L suffix means the positive post is on the opposite side of the battery, compared to the non-L version of the same battery.

Sealed AGM batteries such as the Deka ETX series do not have a vent nipple and do not need to be connected to a battery vent tube.

Some Deka ETX batteries come with a plastic spacer. The spacer is needed when the Deka battery is a few mm shorter than the old-school lead-acid equivalent and the battery hold down needs the extra height to properly grip the battery.

Deka ETX batteries that include the plastic spacer in the box have an A suffix in the product code.

Often Deka AGM batteries are sold under other brand names. Sometimes the spacer is included even though there is no A suffix.

Thank you , guess I’ll just go with the 16-ETX.

    Just one other question:

I notice the 16-L is listed at weighing 6 lbs and the ETX weighs 17 lbs - is that a typo?

I happened to notice it where they offer a “Compare to Similar Items” and show four different batteries, about 1/2 way down the page, here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007Z2XBM...v_ov_lig_dp_it

    I figure it’s gotta be a typo ...

Look at the actual Deka (East-Penn) web site for ETX battery specs, not Amazon.
