RXT/RXP/GTX gauge cluster dim contrast...repair display?

On my 06 RXP the display has gradually faded over the past few seasons to the point where it is no longer visible unless at the perfect angle with eyes glued to the screen.

I've read a ton of posts on older 90s and early 2000s seadoo models where using a polarized film to lay over the LCD display to get the contrast back. Would this work for the 'newer' RXP/RXT/GTX gauges? Havent seen it done anywhere on this model display. Not going to split apart the casing if it is a lost cause.

    Thank you any help/input!

The concept is the same the polarize film gets sun burned and needs to be replaced just like the old 2 stroker days but itís harder to open the Cluster with out rendering it useless maybe Baking it for 45 minutes like when you are opening a head light for mods . Just hot enough to make the glue manageable

I do it all the time on yellow foggy headlights so it might work on the display.

I have an 05 GTX with burnt info screen , so far I got the cluster out and Bessel off but I don't how to get the lens off without breaking the tabs that are around the perimeter. Am I supposed to break the tabs off and when the job is done, silicone it back together?
