Angry BRP will not stand behind their 2018 GTX seat

I have purchased a 2018 GTX 300 limited. BRP replaced the seat after 2 months use to which the seat became very deformed. They replaced it within 2 hours of use it began doing the same thing and they refuse to do anything more.

I have pictures but I don't know how to post them here

Sea Doo has been very bad with their seats they had a lot of problems with them for many years A few years back they had seats that were turning pink from mold . My white seat turned pink in spots and then began to turn dark from the mold. I would always leave the seat up for a while for moisture to drain and still had problems. When you spend in excess of $16,000 you would expect a lot better quality.

I never thought I would have either. But as you can see by the picture, this looks to be a design issue and after paying $20,000 plus taxes in Costa Rica you do not expect to have a seat like like this, do you? The saddle like form looks great out of the box. Then you ride it and it looks like this.

Check out how it looks when you get it NEW (see link) and then look at mine in the picture https://nz.sea-doo.com/watercraft/lu...mited-300.html

are you sitting on top of that part of the seat? it looks like it's deformed from weight being on it.

I think Tbrenella has a point-maybe you are sitting on the sculpted portion of the seat. The same part of the seat on my '17 RXT-260 has some wrinkles which I attribute to my long femurs. They cause me to be seated slightly rearward than the person with "average" length of femurs.

No way, I am just 5' 11 220 lb. If you have your knees locked in how could you possible be sitting anywhere else but the saddle of the seat.

I have the exact same seat and after 60 hours use have not experienced any problems. Yours appears to be defective if you are not sitting on top of the saddle.

I'm thinking an upholstery shop could fix that with the glue that they use and it shouldn't cost much. I agree in that it is not something you should have to do to a new ski. Just giving you options. Good luck.
