    Tps Sensor for 2002 Txi

Hi all this is my first time posting on the Hulk, Thanks for all the great info. So are there any options to find a Tps sensor that puts out voltage in the ccw direction like the Oem one did.

Arrow Honeywell HRS100SWAB090 can NOT be used for Polaris Ficht TPS

Update: Apparently the Honeywell sensor part number posted here is NOT usable to replace a Ficht TPS.

The rotation direction is opposite direction from the OEM sensor. Full throttle and idle positions are apparently swapped, which is not a usable configuration.

If someone does know a part number (Honeywell or otherwise) for a shaft rotation sensor that does in fact match the Polaris OEM TPS configuration, please post the details here.

It looks to me as if Honeywell RPNS090AC1A21X could be adapted. It’s definitely not a drop in replacement part. I’m not sure if the housing would stand up or what the cost would be.

After looking further it seems that sensor is obsolete. Maybe this one could be made to work. This seems to be available for about $70. Voltages are slightly off but maybe close enough?

Message I got back from Honeywell

LINE 1: Honeywell responded that they do not have a version of this part that is made for CCW rotation instead of CW; in fact, they added that this part will likely be going End-of-Life by the end of this year

If I were you, having already shelled out the $ for that sensor, I would either try to adapt it to the other end of the throttle shaft or offset it on the correct end of the throttle body and make a lever that would turn it the opposite direction of the throttle shaft. Of course it would have to actuate on exactly a 1:1 ratio.

This is the sort of thing that a small bit of electronics can do. Invert the signal from the sensor, so the CCW voltage ramp matches what the EMM needs to see.

Anyone want to do the design legwork and fund the NRE + initial production costs?

And buy up a bunch of the remaining inventory pre-EOL sensors from Honeywell.

And do the hardware modifications to retrofit the new sensor onto a stock throttle body.
