    waterbox question

I'm curious to see if anybody has modded their OEM waterbox or has done anything to it instead of buying a new one?

you can gut them, they get loud
my fix is just add a small by-pass hole
    not much louder than stock

How would someone gut it out. Just chop a end off, gut it and then weld it back on? I can weld aluminum and if this will save me a couple hundred I'm all for it

there is not much in them
i would not remove the plate along the bottom

No it's a huge pain in the ass to go from the other way unless you have a huge extension for a hole saw
