02 4Tec will not start without at least quarter throttle

I recently acquired this Seadoo and it would fire up with a momentary push of the start button. I went to start it the other day and it will only give me an occasional pop and sputter. It will run if I hold the throttle at least 25% but dies as soon as I let off. I have no error codes or vacuum leaks. My battery is fully charged and brand new, I pulled the fuel rail and all injectors look to be spraying fine although I have not checked fuel pressure. Spark plugs are brand new as well. What else should I be looking at?

I've read that they cannot be tested for proper function. But my valve also does not make a noise or "ratchet" when I remove the key. Is that normal

Is there anything else I can check before I order a new IAC?

Sounds like the IAC. I think there was a Chrysler part that fit. Borrow a friends and swap to make sure

I concur on the IAC, but with a few items needed for confirmation

are hours high ( over 400)?
you must check fuel pressure splice a gauge in on the line that feeds the rail

an AIC error does not throw a code, unless the unit is stuck. As you might imagine its a very precise bit, glad you saw the notices on not trying to test it.

I've changed a few, typically the rentals have 600+ hours on them before it fails

it's one of the things you don't want to guess on as it's an expensive bit relatively.

My new IAC will be here tomorrow, the ski has 140 hours on it but it did go under water before I got it. Im not sure if water can infiltrate these IAC's but I will let you know what the new one does. Thank you all for the replys.

knowing about submersion is key for an accurate analysis of any problem

now rated at an 80/20 chance of fixing it.
