Leak Down test
How do you do a leak test once the motor is back together?? My polaris service manual did not have a thing on it??

Plug up all openings. Exhaust pipe, intake maniflod, (or carbs if mounted) spark plugs tightened etc... Seal it up air tight. Then put a vacuum or pressure (9 lbs.) through the pulse line fitting. See how long the vac/psi holds for. It should hold for a few minutes, if not you have a leak you need to find it, soapy water helps. Most common area to look at are crank seals and gaskets.
