GP1200R 66V - do you need to retorque after rebuild

I rebuilt a 2000 66V, riva 41cc cast heads with girdle bolts. Should the head bolts be retorqued after heat cycling? Stock head gasket.

I'm talking loosen the bolt 1/4 turn, then torque to spec. Or is this un-necessary?

I would just for good measure. Do one at a time in the proper sequence.

Personally, I don't and never have. I use loctite on EVERY bolt when I am building a motor. If you use loctite retorquing is unnecessary.
