    Seadoo 300 - ET 135 or 142 wheel?

    Guys,

Debating between the ET 135 and 142 wheels on a Seadoo 300. Any input / opinions out there?

Current set up is Stage 3 plus with 135 wheel - 8900 rpm / 17.5 psi boost.

    Thanks for any advice!

I wouldn't waste time with 135. I had one. It made a little difference but not too much

How fast are you now? It really comes down to if you want to run race gas.

Boat runs pretty consistent 85 - 85.3 mph on GPS (87 on Dash) in pretty crappy weather (29.10 baro, 800 ft alt., 90'F Air temp, 68% humidity). Trying to stay away from race gas (its a customer rec boat) but realize anything above 18 psi can be tricky. For sure will look to reduce timing, if needed.

To that point, whats your feeling on the highest possible boost on 93 pump gas? I know that's a tough question, as there are a lot of contributing factors. Engine is still stock compression. Anyone successfully running 20-21 psi on 93 oct?

Going from the stock wheel to the 135 (and VT1100 injectors, of course), I saw an increase of about 350 rpm and 3 mph. I think that is pretty typical, right? I have not experienced the shutter yet. I have about 15 hours on it since installed - maybe just lucky? Of those experiencing the shutter, what rpm does that generally happen?

    Thanks!

Are you able to keep it happy on 93 @ 21 lbs or are you running a little race gas? Also, what prop are you running. Thx...

Sunoco 94 blended with Torco and a Solas SXX 13/18 repitched to 13/16.

No way, those temps and humidity with a 135 wheel will you be running 87 dash with a T3 hull. Just not happening, I'm seeing that with a 142 wheel, and 500asl.
