Cool Just picked up this beauty, need help with performance maintenance.

Hello, I'm not brand new to the PWC world but I'm new with modding/maintenance with it.

Most of my expertise come from vehicle/motorcycle mechanics, it's a good thing most internal parts are the same.

So I picked up this Yamaha hull with a Seadoo RXP 215 motor in it. I uploaded the mod list in one of the photos.

I would like to know the best oil/filter/spark plugs to use as well as best maintenance to start with it. It's currently on 10lbs of boost and goes about 74 mph. If you can direct me to threads that would be awesome. I tried searching them up but couldnít find anything.

    thanks,

    YamaDoo

Run the stock plugs NGK DCPR8E, OEM oil filter, I run Castrol GTX 10w40 oil but you'll get a lot of comments on which is the best. I would check the slip on the SC, when was it last rebuilt? And was it rebuilt with an OEM kit. OEM kits don't come with stainless washers.

Is there a tune on it? I would say next steps would be tune, injectors and a 137 +4 ET wheel for your supercharger. Crank the engine to 9000rpm you have all the hardware to do it. And enjoy an 85 mph ski. Ski looks good man.

Iím pretty sure it has been tuned, it currently has 42lb injectors on it and accelerated like crazy. I was told if I tune it up to 18lbs of boost I can get in the mid 80s no problem. I appreciate the help!

I’ll definitely look into those plugs and will most likely do what you said really soon. I’m honestly not sure when it was rebuilt.

You would probably get 90 with 15 lbs of boost, a
137+4 ET wheel w/injectors and a 8650 tune should get you those numbers.
It should be hitting near 80 with a stock setup in a GP. If you're new to the Sea Doo mod game, I would ride it like it is for a while. Going 90 sounds like fun but reliability goes down as speed goes up. Anyway, 80 is pretty fast on a GP. Also if you don't know when the SC was rebuilt, I would recommend getting it done, and only with an OEM kit.

Thay ski is set up all wrong. Should run 83-85 all day with current set up. Find someone who knows how to set up a gpr hull. What rpms are you seeing currently? A Gprxp conversion should run 80 on a bone stock 215
