Still having to prime my cylinders on xl1200

Feels like I've tried about everything besides putting a primer plunger on this ski to try and cure this. I've replaced plugs numerous times, fuel filters, bypassed my fuel selector switch and so forth. The one thing I don't understand is that I installed an outboard primer bulb on my fuel line that goes to the carbs and I still can't get it to fire especially if it sits for a few days shouldn't this for fuel to the carbs? Could it be bad fuel lines whether there gummed up or dry rotted? Everybody says carb issues but if I have a primer ball on the fuel line that has pressure and gets hard should mean fuel is getting to the carbs once I get it running it runs good it cativates but not concerned about that. so I don't get why it would be the carbs, thanks for any input!

These US skis are setup lean to meet EPA standards..1. Get it started for the day..Then pull the front bucket, then pull the fuel return line off the tank and place it in a container..start it and let it idle for a minute..You should have about one pint of fuel in your container in one minute, if the supply system is good...if not flapper in tank, or maybe fuel selector valve (try same test in reserve position), then plugged fuel filter? ( siphon gas through the filter into a container..Should have nice steady stream)...Still low flow?..pumps

If you have not fixed it yet, time to go into the pumps and rebuild.
Now since you are there, do the fuel pump "Balancing" mod in the FAQ section which allows the first pump to catch prime to feed any/all carbs...As soon as the carbs are off, move the linkage and see if the accelerator pump is squirting fuel into the forward and aft carb on US model, (all three on Non-USA models, aka non-lean out, Non-EPA version)..Last step, is to bump up the pilots to European setting of 92.5s...and your done with hard starting!!...

Never seen anyone install an outboard primer bulb on a ski....that may be your whole problem.

It's a 2000 Yamaha xl limited 1200 and yes it is a power valve motor it's got roughly 8 hrs on the rebuild

You would overpressurize the carbs and crease the check valves.

See it all the time....dont work . Silly hackers usually create their own problems.

People that do half ass work should expect half ass results.
