So is Sea Doo now a reliable ski??
I have been reading a bunch. CM-Tech issues, sinking from failed carbon seal, electric gremlins, hose problems, supercharger issues etc. That being said it also appears most of these issues have been remedied at present time. I am inches from buying a 2018 GTX 230....should I be afraid of it? I know yamaha has issues but I really like the GTX 230 and want to buy it but not if it will be a problem.
your thoughts please.

As a general rule if you make crap, your sales fall off, not rise. Australia and NZ they have 61% market share. Sea-doo is as reliable as any, and all makes todayare good really. The trolls come out here a lot, but you can take that all with a grain of salt as they have an agenda.

They've been "reliable" since about 1988, just like most others. What's been unreliable has been owners maintenance.

I amazed by how many people do no maintenance at all. They drive it until something breaks, then sell it broken as they dont know how, or dont want to spend any money fixing it
I've seen 2-stroke XPs with 500 hours on original engine, and I have seen them blown up at 65 hours from rust on the crank from improper storage

BUY IT!, you will love it and get many many hours of enjoyment....and if you keep it stock ( maybe scom) and use it as it was intended you won't be looking at unnecessary repairs...an extended warranty is a good idea with any of the ski's also...peace of mind..
