My GTX 215 had MUCH better acceleration than my friends FX HO.....top speed the HO was maybe 6 to 8 MPH slower.

Sounds like you're interested in performance so the answer should be simple, a supercharged ski is the only way to go, whatever brand.

just wondering if the GTX 230 is a noticeably better performer then the FXHO 1800. I can get a good deal on either one ..2018 leftovers. If the performance is the about the same I will go with the FXHO...if the 230 is way better I will go with that. I cannot find any 0-30 performance numbers on any seadoo 230 ski.

The 230 will be much faster than the HO. Just be sure you want the extra maintenance of the supercharger. I really like the IBR on the seadoo. Also the gtx should be the S3 hull, and its awesome! Yamaha reliability is a big plus too though. Not going to go wrong either way.

Big difference in acceleration between the 230 and HO, the new Seadoo SC doesn't have a scheduled maintenance anymore, for mostly cruising the HO will be fine with better gas mileage and is no slouch with acceleration , just dont race any SC ski..the HO has Yamaha's RIDE system similar to the Seadoo IBR...If you go with the 230 for a little more money get the RXT 230, it has the new ST3 hull which is better in choppy water.......

It appears the GTX also has the ST3 hull as well. I think I am going with the GTX 230. I like the LinQ system and the hood opening plus the SC. They are both about the same price OTD. Lets see waht See doo announces tonight for 2019.
