2018 RXT-X 300 with 50hrs cracked Hull by flush hookup

    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this? I typically ride in rough water but even with that being said there is no way this is something that should happen from riding in chop. This isn't just the gel coat cracking either.

    Below are some pics.

Is there an actual number of skis sold with cracking issues? And also is brp throwing a bone to the ones with problems like these and if so what are they doing about it, new haul/deck or maybe new ski?

More importantly will this be fixed on '19 models?

Man I am seeing a large number of these types of issues with the CM tech hulls on FB. This is the first I have seen on the rear. Majority have been up front just below where you normally put registration numbers.

I believe seadoo is warranting them but they are outsourcing the work to boat shops.

But it is VERY apparent that there is an issue with the CM tech hulls.

Very concerning...they should have stayed with thick fiberglass hull and gelcoat....if it cost more raise the price...ski would probably ride better also....I would never want to keep a ski that cracked and was repaired just waiting for the next crack. All of the times i've bumped into things on the water with my boats and skis a cracking hull was never my concern, just gelcoat repair...Yamaha and Seadoo should have left the hull's alone...

    Do you trailer this ski?

If yes, is it possible the bunk placement is incorrect?

Or perhaps the rear tie down straps are not holding the hull tightly to the bunks, allowing the hull to bounce against the bunks on the road?
