    2001 seadoo xp question

Hey guys I'm new to the group and have a question about my xp. I'm sure I can't get a definite answer but some ideas on what to do next would be great. I've replaced fuel lines, rebuild carbs, set carb to factory settings, checked pop off pressure, clipped spark plug cable ends, new fuel valve, new o ring on factory inline filter and used another inline filter. At first it ran great. Then it started to kind of bog down and not go over 3k rpms without sputtering like it wasn't getting enough fuel. It will rev up to 7 or so then drop right back down. It will start great and idle great. Just the acceleration is lacking now. Compression is good as well. 2001 xp. Any ideas on where else to start would be great. Thanks
pulled the cap off the rave valves too and they don't seem to be sticking. I havnt taken them apart yet but they seem to move freely.

if the additional inline filter is paper

    ditch it

you have water in your fuel and that blocks up paper filters

mesh is acceptable unless your fuel is evil.

Yes carb filters were replaced. I'm assuming the inline is paper. It's a clear filter from the parts store. It doesn't seem like the filter is filling up all the way either? Thanks

The fuel baffle could fail? The baffle that goes into the tank could be clogged?

you'd be surprised what you'll find in the bottom of a 15 year old fuel tank.

I'd check the pulse line for a leak, and also pull the return line and check what is coming out of it at idle speeds, should be a pretty good flow..if its barley dribbing, I'd pull the fuel pump and check the return check valves ( likely installed upside down)

Are the return check valves the small round clear pieces inside the carb?

yes, the are uber tricky to install the first 10 times

blue stripe faces up, good luck seeing it if you are over 30

Haha alright I hate to take those carbs off again but if getting rid of the filter doesn't work I'll take a look. Thanks
