    Adjust-A-Thrust

Iím seriously thinking about getting one of these devices. I contacted Bruce at WetWolf Technologies and they are still making them. I just wanted ask see if anyone here has had any experience with it on a Genesis?

Iím noticing the Genesis is having some difficulty getting good hook up at the top end in even modest chop ... and the AAT is supposed to help with this, as well as add another 1-2 mph on top speed in calm water.

K447 also said that an 8 or 12 blade stator would also help... any feedback on people who gave tried that? And would anyone know were to get them?

Or any other low cost mods that would help with hook up and top end.

I tried an Adjust-A-Thrust on my Pro 1200 and IMO it is a sound idea but the trade off of getting the extra boat speed is that the acceleration is slower. When you say the ski isn't "hooking up" I immediately think of the intake grate design.

Agreed - what does your intake grate look like?

I replied to this once earlier, but it didnít seem to get posted??? Might have been my pc? But if it is just delayed... the 2 msgs should say roughly the same thing! LOL

Anyways, there are 2 issues: one is that my lake is quite weedy and I didnít think a scoop type grate would be a good idea. Second is that K447 didnít think anyone ever made an upgrade grate for the Genesis?

I have the OEM intake grate on it, I think they call it the batwing grate?

an intake grate would help with staying hooked up in the chop as would a stator with more vanes, but there are trade offs.the stator usually requires a slight depitch as the motor gets pulled down by the extra hookup on takeoff,a depitch will improve the launch but cost you the last 2mph in calm water.an adjust a thrust works really good on the short shaft pro785 and pro1200's not so much on a stock propped ski.if its running a 4 wedge a 3 wedge might keep the nose down enough to cut down on air entering the pump inlet,or keep your weight forward.

I think I have a brand new AAT in the basement. Not sure for which model. If it's something you can use, I would let it go at a seriously discounted rate. I will try to take a look later.

When you ran the AAT did you bore the nozzle to 87mm like Bruce suggests ?

I also have a 1200 Pro and was looking at getting one of these, in an effort to gain more top speed.
Bruce says you will gain acceleration by boring the nozzle to 87mm and you will gain the speed back from boring the nozzle with the new tip inserts.

Currently my 2001 Pro 1200 only runs 59mph on GPS , stock.
I added Boysen pro reeds and gained no speed.

Do you have any performance tips for the 1200 PRO?

I was told a Hot Seat ride plate would get the nose up better and free up some speed.

Yup, bore the nozzle for the low end and midrange, add the AAT to get back the top end you lose by boring the nozzle, plus a little more. If the things didn't work, I would have stopped building them 20 years ago. Now I have 20 different models of AAT.
