    2004 rxp

    I have an 04 rxp with 220 hours. It is in great condition and runs great, always been maintained. With that all being said Iíve got some mods on it but donít seem to be to impressed with the results. Supercharger has 6 hours on it with fresh rebuild

    4 inch kanaflex with Intake
    Intake grate
    Billet wedge
    14/19 Solas impeller


    It doesnít pull out of the water like I want it too. It has awful cavitation and the wear ring is brand new and was just installed. I donít care much for top end speed I just want the acceleration and the hole shot.


    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Carbon seal wear?

    Compression on the cylinders good. ?

    I have not checked the carbon seal, but itís not leaking any water into the hull. the compression on all 3 cylinders is good. I wasnít sure if I had the right impeller for these mods.

    Yeah that can pose a good bit of cavitation on the ski. Had it on mine when pulling up a wake boarder. Wouldnít hardly do it. And it wasnít leaking water in the hull either. You could see a ring of carbon around the inside of the hull as well from all the wear. Also the bellows can get still and loose itís elasticity.

    Once I replaced it, the ski would practically launch out of the water from a dead stop to full throttle.

    Thatís what Iím looking for. I want the ski to basically jump out of the water. I have a spare carbon seal that I will put on tomorrow. Is 14/19 the right pitch for the impeller or should I have gone with the 15/20?

    Stock I think is 13/18 right.

    Donít know if I should go with 15/20 or stay with the 14/19

    Did you replace the pump seal with a new one when you put on the impeller? Being a 2004, it probably due for replacement.
    The wedge, never had any luck with that.

    What rpm are you turning at WOT, should be 8100.

    Iím doing 7900 with all stock doing about 69 just for reference. New wear ring and carbon seal.
