Exclamation GPR, XLT, XLL OEM Intake Grate WARNING ! Dangerous !

Forum members, please be aware that the Stock OEM Intake grate on the GPR, XLL, XLT is VERY Dangerous.

It is highly recommended that when you begin to add modifications to your craft to make this item the first to change out on your list.

One of the reasons this grate is dangerous is that it can cause the pump to overstuff and cause a VIOLENT left hand turn and TOSS you ! Injury will happen.

    * Research has been documented on this as far back as 2001 on the RIVA forum where Veteran Yamaha hobbyists have encounterd this problem early on many times over !

So please take heed and listen to this warning about the Stock intake grate.

As Billy says, EXTREMELY violent buck with boat trying to do U-turn. This is the first thing you should get rid of when doing anything other then stock!
