    Converting 20mm shaft 12 vein gpr pump to large diameter fxho pump

    Hi all, new to forum I need some advise...... I am converting my GPR to 1.8 after the 1300 blew and have a donor FX. I was running a 12 vein pump with the 20mm shaft in my GP1300R so I can't use that for the conversion..... I have a spare large diameter shaft from an FX so was thinking I could have it machined to fit the bearings in the 12 vein pump Or am I better off just using the 6 vein pump from the donor FX ? What do you think? Has anyone one done this?

    You may check with WFO. He may be able to set you up with what you need to run your 1300 pump.

    Any input would be appreciated. WFO sure has done some amazing conversions with the GPR hull.

    I would avoid the hassle and use the donor pump

    I was thinking that too as I don't know if it would worth the experiment I have ordered a 160 transom plate and impeller housing to keep this fun
    Will find something else to use the old setup on.

    Parts sorted need to machine the 160mm housing to fit inside the 2 inch spacer. Now back to the engine.......thanks for the input!Click image for larger version.

    Im not too sure on how the yamaha 1800 fits the gpr , but i think it uses all the FX midshaft and driveshaft . is it possible to use the gpr midshaft and fit the fx coupler to it ?
