    R is just the progression in the series not an indication of a "1800R"

    The 2017 GP1800 model code inside the hull says GP1800S, IIRC.

    What is the actual model code for the 2018 GP1800? Still the S suffix, or something else?

    S= Split near intake grate
    R= Reinforced grate area.
