My New Sea-Doo came with extra parts!

    Hello world,

New member, first time owner. I have been out a few times on my 2018 RXT 230 and so far no issues. I have about 4 hours on it and itís opened up fully now. Today I was cleaning out the engine compartment and I found a screw and an o-ring in the bottom of the hull. There arenít any loose hoses or parts that Iíve noticed and the thing is running like it should. Could these just be extras from the factory that fell in and got lost in there? Should I be concerned about this?

    Thanks for any help

Am almost certain thatís the seal for the rear cap where the ski pylon would be installed , put the seal in if itís missing to prevent water from entering .

Just looked. You nailed it. Thank you for the sharp eye. The seal definitely doesn't sit tight which is probably why i found it at the bottom of the hull. Any suggestions on how to get it to it to sit in place better? Does any one else's seal seem loose enough to come off with a few light shakes?

working with fiberglass, composites and solvents, I bet the government was breathing down BRP necks and safety equipment for the employees had to be expensive so they went to mexico to try to save money and maybe kill a few Mexicans at the same time

Just make sure it sits on the lid all the way up if you want you ca make it more permanent a drop of crazy glue @ 12,3,6,9 on the rear side of the seal and lid to make sure itís put.
