Female friend wants to buy this

A female friend of mine wants a pwc for $2500 or so. I recommend she spend a little for a 4 stroke. She won't listen to me. I live an hour or so from her so it's not practical for me to work on it much. What's your opinions? Anything look for on that \model? Decent deal? Seems high to me.

Thats a bit much for that model. On a Seadoo, somebody that knows Seadoo needs to look it over. She could easily spend another 1k fixing/ maintaining it up to par.

I guess the best thing to do is to look for another option that she might like. The price of this product is pretty expensive, but it's her money the reason why can buy anything that she wants.

Thanks for the replies. She met him yesterday and watched him ride it some at least. I'll show her the links.

You should be able to find an early 4-tec or fx ho for around that price in the US.
The engine in the GTI is the smaller 720 I believe which is bulletproof apart from the top end rebuilds every 150hours or so. The carbs are also something that'll need doing. I think for someone not mechanically inclined 2 strokes are a little bit too much to handle in terms of maintenance and just general ownership.
You should be able to find a high hours 4 stroke though, which would offer much more longevity and less headaches (hopefully).

where i live that model should be low 2000's. no where near 2900.

I have a 1996 GTX that I completely rebuilt bow to stern for 2250 without a trailer. I have a 1998 Yamaha XL 760 completely rebuilt by me for 2000 without a trailer. I am in Summertown TN. I bought new 4 strokes is the only reason i am selling the 2 strokes.

if you want more info on them Private message me. I tried to sell them on Craiglist but all i got was scammers and really at this point they can just sit in the yard rather than me dealing with that mess. LOL i just hate to see them sitting knowing that they are great machines and would be great as someones first rides.

OP - I just saw this one listed in the referenced comment and this is the one if it has good compression and if someone cleaned the carbs this is a AWESOME deal. that model would be ideal if carbs/fuel system is clean. I would buy this one if i was still 2 strokin'

If those trailer tires are original they may be twenty years old. Replace them, for sure.
