Lake Texoma
Lake level is high, too high, beaches are gone, the roads to the ramp are now the ramp.Gotta take extra precaution around shoreline & islands, some campsites are underwater, crap is floating everywhere. If you got a depth finder ,you will see 20ft..then 2ft..That quick! It's to easy to suck up grass, brush etc.Last nights rain packed a wallop,so the corp decided to open floodgates..too little, too late & their keeping them open for just a few hours.Yesterday the corps said the lake would crest Saturday,Last nights rain & future forecast changed their mind,It will be somtime next week...It's only going to get worse & the Red River is @ capacity so the corps will not utilize the floodgates much
BUT...The fishing is damn GOOD!
This SUCKS..I'm going to lake LewiLast edited by lugnut; 05-31-2007 at 03:49 AM.

Our local lake is closed until possibly late June due to high water.Every park, every ramp is underwater,as well as adjacent roadways.I have been here 22 years and never seen it this high. They can't even open the dam gates because the Brazos is too high downstream as it is.This sucks the big one for sure.

Where do you live?? we live on the little mineral arm (south of grandpappys). Yeah our ramp is the road going to the ramp also. It looks like we will go from no water last summer to way to much this summer. Just wait until june and it will brop quick when we hit the 100 deg mark.

Whats up Shawn
I live in Sherman,But I lease a plot @ Paridise cove after "M" day every year.Only this year I delayed cause the lake is up to my favorite plot & will most likly be under after the lake crest.I sometimes go to the little M area to ride,Around the ELKS/AMERICAN LEGION ,I usally just stay on the edge of the back cove & bait the RXPs into the rough..&..well ,ya know.Every now & then I'll wander into the "calm" & there are all over me like pesky pesky flies,I dont have a chance..so back to the rough.
Most of the time though I'm @ PC or Big M area...Gotta watch out for the Kawis this year..Gonna be intresting
Drop a pm & we can hookup somtime
Good Travels
Jeff & Amy
ps..I'm going to check out Lake Lewi next week

I'm unfamilier with Lewi..So I'll just show up & cruise around Sun.Is there a "particular" end/area of lake that is more or less the PWC "playground"?

I launch in The Colony at Stewart Creek Park, south east side. Newcastle hangs around Hidden Cove Park by Frisco, north east side. Call me after this rain moves thru if you want.
