    2018 RXT 300 steering adjustment

For anyone experiencing misaligned handlebars. To gain access to the adjuster remove this cover using a #30 torx, there's only two screws securing the cover.

The adjuster is on the RH side. The adjuster utilizes a locking collar at the rear side of the adjuster. Pull the collar forward to release. Make small (one revolution) adjustment at a time and be sure to LOCK the adjuster after EVERY adjustment. Hopefully this saves anyone a trip to the dealer.

    did you adjust yours yet?

mine is pulling slightly to the right and I have to turn my handle bars to the left to compensate.
which way you turning the adjuster for which direction of pull?

I gave it one turn to the right and I don't think it made much difference..
I'm going to have to take the cover off and make adjustments while riding it.

My PX had the same issue. It took about three turns to correct.

If I'm thinking correctly. I turned the adjuster counterclockwise, facing rearward.

With the LH bar end about 1.5" below level it took roughly 10-12 turns CLOCKWISE to correct the steering. Yes it can be done on the water if you previously removed the cover.

Just an update to this thread. The graphic seems reversed. As Guidoo said, pretty sure my 2019 GTX was the same. Pulled to the right, had to steer left so LH bar end was about 1-1.5" lower to steer straight. It took a lot of turns to adjust. I took cover off and sitting on seat easily reached over to unlock collar, adjust and re-lock several times. I turned in the opposite direction shown in graphic to correct. IE to correct craft turning to the right when handlebars were straight, I turned adjustment counter-clockwise sitting on seat (cloclwise if facing watercraft like graphic shows). Again, I believe graphic shown here is reversed, either that or I don;t understand "Pulls on right/left side". I adjusted mine until it just started slightly pulling to the left, then backed off. It's running straight and true now.

My 18 RXP pulled to the right, had to steer left to go straight. The adjustment is different requiring a stubby 22mm wrench. The shop manual said to turn it one turn and retest, LOL. I had to turn mine about 15 turns and it was improved, but not quite perfect. I was just afraid of running out of threads.
