    Well that's a new one...broken spark plug

Took my MSX150 for the first ride of the season today. Ran great until suddenly it dropped way down on power and was making very disturbing noises. I shut it down and got towed back. Long story short, the MAG spark plug FAILED and separated at the body. The noise was the compression spewing out the plug hole. I put a new plug in and it seems to be fine. Water test pending. Thank you Champion plugs Click image for larger version.

That's the new tuning line of spark plugs. They eject the plug after a WOT run. Now you can easily see the mixture ring on the plug.

So... How does the air fuel mixture look?

I've never seen that before and all I run is Champion sparkplugs. Oh wait! The poster is HiPeRcO, say no more, that explains it.

If anything weird can happen, it happens to "bad luck schmetluck HiPeRcO" You'll know it is him when you see him coming across the water, he has the black cloud that hovers over him.

Ive seen this before, and it was also a champion plug. Also on champion plugs I've seen the electrode recede up into the ceramic causing the gap to extremely widen . Also seen it jiggly loose and have no gap at all or a super wide gap.

OK, good to know. Just how are you related to HiPeRco?
