    2015 RXT-X Rooster-Tail spray?

Does anyone know if there is a kit that would add a rooster-tail spray to the transom of a 2015 RXT-X much like the spay that the Yamaha's have?

If not a kit, has anyone figured out a DIY method?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Yamaha calls it a visibility spout, and is the only major brand that includes it as stock.

I would imagine you could buy the Yamaha deck fitting and then drill a hole for a hose barb fitting into the Seadoo jet pump nozzle. The water feed is very simple and the deck fitting just fits into hole with a large collar clamped onto the traction mat.

The Yamaha deck fitting has an angle for the water stream.

You can see how it works by looking at photos where people have disabled the Yamaha factory visibility spout.

You can also add a small plastic inline ball valve ±(compact irrigation valve). Then you can turn the water spout on or off as you prefer.

When riding in groups and maneuvering around docks, launch ramps and other crowded spaces the spout can be annoying to others.

Why? For the love of God, why? Everyone non-rookie I know with a Yamaha cuts and/or caps that line before the first time they launch it. It looks stupid, it wets you and others while docking, it's in the way if putting a rack or cooler on the back, it puts a nice mist in the face of anyone you pull on skis or tubes behind you, not to mention if you ever do group rides people will refuse to ride behind you.

The groups I ride with all refer to it as "Gay Spray" and they carry a knife and/or caps to help rookies out that show up without a clue. I told a guy on my local lake this week that he could disable it and he was very proud to hear because he hated it.

Just say no to Gay Spray.

Oh, and it's not a rooster tail, it's a water spout. A worthless, good for nothing, water spout. Kinda like spraying a water hose in the air...how cool is that?
