    2012 Seadoo RXT iS misfire

    Does a 2012 Seadoo 260 iS have a fuel filter? I have a misfire on the back cylinder I have swapped coils checked for spark and that all seems to be working correctly. I am assuming at this point it is a fuel issue or an injector issue. I will be trying to swap two of the injectors to see if the issue follows the injector. I was just curious because it is the rear cylinder the furthest in the fuel rail. I dont have a fuel pressure tester. Do they have an issue with injectors?

    injectors go bad in Skis like they do in everything. Ohm out the two good ones then ohm the trouble cylinder. Have you checked the actual spark plug? Pull the dipstick and see if it smells like fuel or is miscolored. Pull the plug and look at the piston. pressure test that cylinder. All steps to take.

    I did pull the dipstick no fuel smell and I did replace the spark plug. I also did a compression check and everything has checked out. I was going to pull the fuel rail with the injectors and see how the spray looks. worst case I can switch 2 injectors and see if the problem follows the injector.

    One other thing is it has only been winter stored since it was running fine. I didnt suspect a valve, but did a compression check just in case.

    Just wondering if anyone knows anything about if there is a fuel filter or something else I should be looking for. How do you all check the fuel pressure on these things

    I'd venture a sticky injector. Plenty of home brew remedies to clean them.

    You might find somebody with some actual equipment.

    Not so much where I am.

    pull the fuel rail bag the injectors and check for sprayage

    careful, good way to kill yourself if you are caress

    I apply my cleaner using the plastic syringe method

    My candoo is handy as I can fire individual injectors at will

    Thank you, I dont have a Candoo, but I like the idea of bagging the injectors and firing them. I was considering using a bucket, but I like the bag idea better.

    its less wear and tear on the starter to use the candoo. pull the coils and plugs if your having a testy injector. U tube videos have some interesting hookups with 9v battery and push buttons

    I use a sandwich bag and some trash bag twist ties.

    I'm kinda nervous about burning the place down yanno.

    I have never underestimated the volatility of a number of fuels

    check fuel psi at the schrader valve
    looking at the spray pattern will most likely tell you nothing
    fuel injector service business are very common
    send them to get cleaned and flow tested
    average charge is about $20 each plus shipping
    fuel filters are in the tank, pull fuel pump to access
