Can the X package be used in the GTX300?

Ok...so the X package in the 2018 rxtx 300 has launch control and the extra trim for playing around...

Can this be bought and used in the 2018 GTX300 as well?
Is it sth that coulkd be enabled via candoo or vtech?

Anyone knows part number and installation guide?

You can purchase an "X-Package Functions Module" as an accessory. The description is:

"Activates X Package functions on gauge: lap timer, fuel time and distance to “empty”, average and top speed/RPM display, and engine temperature."

Since the GTX 300 LTD already has most of these features, I believe the only real benefit is engine temperature.

It does not give you launch control which is only available on the RXT-X 300. It's unclear if this can be enabled on the GTX LTD with software because it requires a greater range of motion on the VTS which the GTX may not have.

This is one of the few functional differences between the GTX LTD 300 and the RXT-X 300 which are otherwise very similar.

This supplies a number of launch modes. In theory you could select the "Ramp 5 Mode" which is described as:

RAMP 5 provides:
– Quickest launch
– Quickest acceleration rate
– Highest TARGET SPEED range.

This might provide something similar to the RXT-X Launch Control.

Ski mode and launch control are not even comparable. Launch control automatically starts with the trim in the lowest position and automatically raises itself to the last user selected position. Ramp 5 on ski mode which is the fastest will not even come close to the acceleration of the launch control

I never thought it would be as fast, but if someone wants something remotely similar to a Launch Control for the GTX 300, this is the only thing close that can be installed easily and inexpensively. Those who buy the GTX rather then the RXT-X may not require the maximum possible acceleration or they would have chosen the RXT-X. They may simply want a Launch Control type feature.
