    Genesis 1200 won't rev past 5k

Rebuilt Kehin carbs with OE parts but now won't rev past 5krpm. Doesn't stall or misfire and while holding throttle wide open seems to "clean" out and rev for a sec then bogs down again. Gonna go over it again before season starts, any suggestions? Also how do I check the pop of pressure?

    console functional?
    reverse light on?

how did you rebuild the carbs.

did you use identical springs and set arm level with body?

find the tiny filters in the carb body?

If it worked fine before the carb rebuild then I would say you must have botched something. Take them apart and try again..............that is IF you are sure the spark plugs are good.

The machine did run good the seasson before the latest carb disassembly. I haven't taken carbs apart yet this year but I will go over all the measurements. I did use the original springs, but I would like to check the pop off pressure. The machine ran ok up to 5k, would rev higher on the trailer. Felt like it was just bogging at 5k and if the throttle held, it would "clean out" and rev for a couple seconds but then bog again. Sounded flat, like if the secondaries on four barrel carb (if anyone remembers!) would open too fast.

If just one carb is not happy, it can cause effects something like your description.

This engine is essentially three single cylinder engines joined together. Each one of the three must be ‘running right’ in order for the whole thing to sing.
