New discovery - still no power
I did not get a chance to check the crank indexing but I did fnd a small diameter hose that is not connected. It looks as though it was originally clear but has turned blue/greenish (maybe oil). I know for sure at some point it was utilized because it is flared on the end like it went over a nipple of some kind. I can't trace where it originates but appears to be directly under the engine and goes towards the back down low.
Any thoughts?

That sounds like the speedo tube. It goes right under the seal carrier for the drive shaft.

there is another tube that goes directly to the middle of the underside of the drive shaft, and it is hooked up. The one that is disconnected is about the same size and is a little longer.
Thanks

It might be for the battery vent find where the other end goes.

Battery vent hose. Gose on the battery to vent the acid out of the hull.

YEP!!! Vent hose. If your battery is sealed, there's no where to hook it up.
