I think without the cutouts it's no biggie, just wouldnt want the force over only the reinforced space. Are the brackets being used by members off the older 'bubble' fx sho? or the 12-18 models?

The drill bit will be the same diameter as your bolts.

Someone should post a picture of the stock brackets in comparison these over sized brackets. I don't have mine anymore so I was curious as to how much bigger they are

The larger/longer pair are the FX brackets.

The smaller pair are the original GP1800 brackets.

I have a question. Last year I did the intake grate fix along with riva intake grate and stage 1tube. When I was doing the fix noticed a small crack on both rear holes. They were less then 1 inch in length and superficial. When ahead and completed the install. Removed intake grate this year to check and the cracks are exactly the same. I am going to stage 2 now. Should there be anything to worry about with the higher speeds

You should not have any problems...as a stage 2 is re really not that much faster

If you are really concerned a put the cracks you could grind them out and fill with glass and resin. But it’s probably ok as it is. Did the cracks come all the way through where you could see them on the top inside the hull when you were doing your repair?
