Kawasaki Ultra 310R ECU Replacement Issues

That is not how itís done it doesnít go into run mode until one key is programmed try again.

Did you at least give it a go with the factory manual?

The key dongle is less then 50 bucks the green hulk store sells it

Iíve had more then one dealer tech call me for help when they could not get a key to be programmed

    Iíd give it another go

What if the dealer tells you the eCU is bricked?

Yes I tried the method you posted with all 4 keys I have. After pressing the key in quickly it doesn't beep and the warning light just flashes every 2 seconds. I looked for the kds3 online and it's $700 everywhere. Can you post a link?

If they tell me the ECU is bricked i'm filing a complaint with ebay and getting a refund lol. When I insert the key now the gauges don't come on at all. I have to press the key inwards to get the gauges to come on, it does a quick 2 beeps and then a single long beep along with the warning light flashing every 2 seconds. I tried pressing the key again to program it and it does nothing. I'm more than willing to try other things to get it to work... at a loss for ideas

Now I feel like I should have never ordered this ECU and this link will fix the problem I'm having. Ski temporarily gets up to top speed then reduces back down to 60-62mph. But my dash never reads more than 63ish mph. Man I'm a pro at wasting money.

    Again timing is everything

    Thereís no other way

    I wonít say it again

    The timing is difficult

Post some video of your dash as you try and count out loud

Unless your dealer works while you wait 4 hours driving + an hour of shop charges

The only key to start with is the foo key that came with the new eCU

Disconnect the battery for a while and give it another go with video

You donít need my live help for this job

I told back then too just get it reflashed ....
Now you've taken a short cut that will cost more in the end.
Get your money back and get a reflash....Kspeed or the like...
That way no traction control , no scom ,more power.

No. That is for increasing the top speed over 67. It won't do anything for your issues.

Wow man I figured it out, you gotta be crazy quick lol thanks so much. Managed to get the two new FPO and SLO keys registered to the new ECU but the old keys wouldn't register I assume because they were already programmed to my old original ECU. Regardless it works! And I saved about 400 dollars so hooray! Thanks again!

If anyone needs a brand new Ultra 310 ECU for half the price these are legit off ebay and are brand new OEM. Mine worked perfectly.

to register the additional keys you would need to use the key dongle and the original first key to start the add a key sequence..

Would have loved to see some video of the ordeal.

I did say and will continue to say..that's some tricky shit eh?
