2018 GTX 300 with zero hours hull cracked horribly

I have a 2018 GTX 300. Never seen water and stored in a heated garage since purchase two weeks ago. Went to take it out today noticed horrible gas odor. Found gas leakied down the hull on both side and gas was in the footwells. Wiped the gas off to find the hull was cracked horribly and stained where the gas had ran from gas lid area. I have a 4k video of the damage I will post on YouTube later today. I have done nothing to the ski. The dealership prepped it and I drove it home where it has sat. Does anyone have input what I should expect when I take it in Tuesday!?!?

was the fuel cap on tight? No way gas got in the foot wells without sloppy filling or maybe filling it to the top and leaving the cap loose and then moving the ski around and spilling it out.

The dealership did the fueling I did not. When I checked the lid it didn't feel super tight. When I replaced cap and clicked it three times I felt much tighter.

Even if that's the case, why did the material crack and why didn't the dealer put the gas lid on right.

Beats me, sucky situation. It's an up hill battle from here if history is any indicator. Seadoo finishes are not super tolerant to fuel exposure. They should be rinsed off immediately. If you think about it, gasoline is a really harsh solvent. You really don't want it on any finished surface for very long.

. I understand that. But when you pick the ski up, drop it off and leave for business then come back to this, that's slightly bs imo.

The engine hours are the same as when you picked it up so you have that going for you. The dealership filled the gas tanks so you have that going for you. Clearly you are under warranty so that is 3 things in your favor.

The hull cracked is scary. Had to fall while in the crate during shipping.

This might not be as bad as you think. You will know in 10 - 15 minutes. Try not let things go south and try to stay calm.

    Good luck

I put a down payment on a 2018 rxt300 last weekend and I'm now starting to get really nervous here. I wondering if I made a big mistake buying one of these sea doos

Those looks like just cracks in the paint in an area you can’t even see when the seat is on, don’t even bother with the headache and downtime involved with dealers, just ride and enjoy the thing, who cares what it looks like
